About us

  Hairy Bikers

The Stone Food & Drink Festival began in 2004 to bring the community together to celebrate the very best of local produce.

Over the years, the festival has gone from strength to strength - attracting some 15,000 visitors in 2010 - and is attended by leading businesses, pubs and producers from across the county and beyond who recognise the festival as an excellent platform to promote their food and drink.

In 2009, the festival won funding from ‘Taste of Staffordshire’ which allowed additional investment into events and demonstrations and has helped to ensure the festival gets bigger and better year on year. We are delighted to announce that a Taste of Staffordshire is continuing its support of the festival and, to celebrate, the theme of the 2011 festival will be ‘The very best of Staffordshire’.

The 2011 festival, which will take place from Fri 30th Sep - Sun 2nd Oct, promises to be the biggest and best yet, with old favourites such as the ‘real ale trail’, 'manger a trois', gourmet marquee, farmers’ market and chef demonstrations in addition to a host of exciting new events.

To get more out of the Stone Food & Drink Festival, why not become a 'Friend of the Festival'? In addition to a host of benefits, you’ll be invited to our growing calendar of food and drink related events throughout the year – click here for more details of our events.

The Festival is organised entirely by unpaid volunteers. In legal terms, the Festival is a Community Interest Company registered at Companies House as a 'not for profit' company where all profits are used to further future events and all assets are the subject of an 'assets lock'.
