Real Ale Trails

Stone’s proud brewing heritage means that pubs in the town and its surrounding villages have a reputation for serving excellent real ales. The Stone Food and Drink Festival Real Ale Trail has grown in popularity year on year, and we now run two different tours during the festival week - one a 'walking trail' which takes in the town centre pubs and the other an minibus odyssey of some of the best pubs in the outlying villages.

Stepping Stone Trail

Sponsored and organised by Lymestone Brewery, this trail will take you around town centre pubs and provide you with the opportunity to win some goodies! Every time you buy a Lymestone beer, get your card stamped and at the end of the week trade it in for some Lymestone memorabillia! The pubs already signed up for Stepping Stone Trail are

The Swan, Stafford Street

The Crown Hotel, High Street

The Mill Hotel, Mill Street

The Crown and Anchor, Granville Square

Granvilles, Granville Square

The Three Crowns, Lichfield Road

The Royal Exchange, Radford Street

The Star, Stafford Street

Langtreys, Oulton Road

Minibus Real Ale Trail

On three nights - Tuesday 27th September (ALL SOLD), Wednesday 28th September and Thursday 29th September (ALL SOLD) - four minibuses will leave Stone to take you to eight nearby village pubs where you will enjoy the best of Staffordshire real ales and great hospitality!
