Spring/Summer 2011 Events

While the autumn Stone Food and Drink Festival is undoubtedly the highlight of our calendar, we do organise a range of interesting food-related events thoughout the year. The next event is a visit to Halfpenny Green Vinyard and Essington Fruit Farm and Farm Shop on Sunday 21st August. Tickets for this event can be purchased online using the form below:

Halfpenny Green Vineyard and Essington Fruit Farm - Sun 21st Aug 2011

An opportunity to savour wines from a local Staffordshire vineyard and enjoy some retail therapy at the award-winning Essington Fruit Farm and Farm Shop. Having left Stone, we’ll stop off at Essington; giving you an hour and a half to browse the farm shop - and perhaps enjoy a coffee and a home-baked cake in the tea room - before heading onto the vineyard.

Established in 1983, Halfpenny Green Vineyard is among the largest in the UK; growing a broad range of grape varieties and producing some fantastic English wines in its on-site winery. In addition to a tour of the vineyard, a tutored tasting and lunch we’ll have the opportunity to indulge in some more retail therapy in the vineyard shop before heading home to Stone.

Tickets: £25.00 per person (inc. luxury return coach travel, buffet lunch and wine tasting).
