4.30pm – 5pm: The Hop Effect – Slater’s Ales’ Vicki Slater looks at hops from different parts of the world and how they can be used to fine tune the flavour of a brew
5.30pm – 6pm: Gin o’ Clock! Old School Wines’ Andrew Wilson highlights the subtle differences in gins available from the self-proclaimed ‘Tittensor Temple of Temptation’

12.15pm – 12.45pm: A ‘Titanic’ Tutored Tasting – Keith Bott of Titanic Brewery guides real ale fans through a tutored tasting of some of the Staffordshire brewery’s well-loved ales
1.00pm – 1.30pm: The Art of the Butcher’s Block – Head Butcher at Aston Marina farm shop, Nick Griffin, shares his ten years’ experience in the trade to give an insight into how he prepares the marina’s fabulous, locally-sourced meat into restaurant quality cuts for the counter

4.15pm – 4.45pm: ‘Virtual Brewery Tour’ - An interactive journey taking in the sights, smells and tastes of the Slaters’ Ales state-of-the-art brewery with Vicki Slater
5.00pm – 5.30pm: Cocktail half hour – Old School Wines’ resident mixologist presents this year’s most fashionable tipples

11.45am – 12.15pm: Butchery Basics – Stef Price from Stone Country Butchers in Adie’s Alley presents a masterclass on knife skills and how to cut and prepare various joints of meat
12.30pm – 1.00pm: ‘Top Totty-Gate’ – Vicki Slater of Slater’s Ales reflects how the Houses of Parliament ‘scandal’ gave sales of its blonde beauty an unexpected boost
1.15pm – 1.45pm: Brewing: The ‘Science Bit’ – Lymestone Brewery’s Ian ‘Brad’ Bradford turns alchemist to demystify the brewing process using clear tea pots and a camping stove!
2.00pm – 2.30pm: How to Prepare a Pheasant – Cordon-Bleu trained chef and festival director John Follwell demonstrates how to transform a hung, feathered pheasant into an oven-ready bird
2.45pm – 3.15pm: Beer: A tutored tasting... Ian ‘Brad’ Bradford of Lymestone Brewery shares his expertise on how to judge and critique a pint
3.30pm – 4pm: There is not just one drink called Wine: An examination of how seasonality should influence your choice of wine-style. A tutored tasting by James Gillespie (awarded title of "UK Wine Hero" by "Wine & Spirit" Magazine in 2007)
4.15pm – 4.45pm: Deli-delicious! Aston Marina’s Deli Supervisor Gillian Howe introduces the huge variety of cheeses from the Midlands, the rest of Britain & the Continent available at the Marina’s renowned Deli counter
5.00pm – 5.30pm: World-Class Whiskies – Old School Wines takes the audience on a whistle-stop tour of some of the world’s best ‘wee drams’
Reservations: All of these talks & tastings are FREE and we expect they will be very popular, so you are strongly advised to arrive at least 10 minutes before a slot starts. If you wish to reserve a seat for a particular demo, please visit the tent to put your name down at least 1 hour before its billed time. You will need to be in your reserved space at least 5 minutes before the talk starts or it will be forfeit on a first-come, first-served basis.
