A Guided Foodie History of Stone

Wed 4 Oct 
In a new addition to the 2017 festival programme you can discover the town’s fascinating foodie history with a guided tour led by Steve Booth and Philip Leason of Stone Historical Society. You’ll learn about Hovis flour; Gooseberry fairs; fish ponds, breweries – and much more besides.
To take part, simply meet at The Star pub at 6.30pm prompt on Wednesday, 4th October.
The tour will cost £2 per adult and £1 children under 16 (cash only) with all proceeds going to Stone Historical Society.

Festival Farmers’ Market

A part of the food festival since the very beginning, Stone Farmers’ Market has gone onto become a regular event; taking place the first weekend of every month and widely regarded as the best farmers’ market in Staffordshire. The Festival Farmers’ Market - always the biggest of the year - graces Stone High Street on Saturday; celebrating the county’s agricultural heritage as some of the very best producers in the area sell their ‘farm to fork’ wares.
